Installing Adobe Reader in Centos

steps:
rpm -ivh http://linuxdownload.adobe.com/adobe-release/adobe-release-i386-1.0-1.noarch.rpm
rpm
–import /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-adobe-linux
sudo yum install
AdobeReader_enu

    • Since Acrobat is closed source software, it’s not included in the default yum
repositories. Those two commands install an adobe repository in yum and add
Adobe’s RPM GPG key. (So you don’t get a bunch of unsigned
      packages).

Yum Update Error

Aaah the first blogg in 2k11…

well when updating yum repos i found this error:

error: Cannot find the valid baseurl for repos: Citrix

workaround: edit the file /etc/yum.repos.d/Citrix.repo
uncomment the # in the line baseurl=

It fixed the baseurl error but another error indicating that the specified xml file in the repos is unavailable..

for that just change all “enabled” parameter from 1 to 0 in the file.

yo… yum update worked flawlessly
